Editorial Production Assistant

About the role

The Editorial Production Assistant supports the editorial team by ensuring that each page meets the highest standards of accuracy, design, and layout. Working under the guidance of Section Editors and the Editorial Systems Head, you will play a key role in the publishing workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Proofread editorial pages to guarantee correctness and consistency with style guidelines.
• Execute design and layout tasks using publishing software, incorporating revisions as directed.
• Update page files with edits and revisions supplied by editors and the systems head.
• Maintain adherence to production standards and ensure final pages are ready for print or digital release.

Required profile

• College graduate, preferably with a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience as a proofreader.
• One year of training or work experience in publishing production.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Familiarity with Pagemaker and Photoshop.
• Experience with PDI Stylebook for style‑guide management.
• Strong proofreading and layouting abilities.
