Economics Analyst – Macroeconomics Research Division

About the role

The Asian Development Bank is seeking an Economics Analyst to join its Macroeconomics Research Division within the Economic Research and Development Impact Department. Based at the Manila headquarters, you will support high‑impact economic research, data science initiatives, and technical assistance projects that drive sustainable development across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) reports and other flagship publications.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and manage large economic databases, including high‑frequency data.
• Apply econometric and data‑science techniques such as machine learning, textual analysis, and big‑data analytics.
• Assist in the preparation of concept papers, cost estimates, and technical assistance (TA) reports.
• Coordinate TA project activities, monitor budgets, and liaise with consultants and partner agencies.
• Maintain and develop computer‑based information systems for modeling and analysis.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to support economic research and data‑driven analysis.
• Experience handling large datasets, conducting statistical analysis, and presenting findings clearly.
• Capability to assist with technical assistance planning, implementation, and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills for managing research projects and administrative tasks.
