Duty Engineer – Licensed Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Duty Engineer ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all engineering systems at Seda Residences Makati. As a Licensed Mechanical Engineer, you will provide hands‑on technical supervision, immediate response to engineering concerns, and coordination with hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, water supply, and related building systems.
• Conduct regular rounds and inspections of guest rooms, residences, public areas, plant rooms and equipment spaces.
• Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns, emergencies, and guest‑room defects, diagnosing failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and monitor the preventive maintenance program, documenting all activities and recommending improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized technical interventions and ensure work is performed safely.
• Monitor utility consumption, identify energy‑saving opportunities, and support sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering staff, manage shift handovers, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate shift reports, equipment logs, incident reports, and documentation for audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer (LME) recognized by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.
• 2–5 years of experience in hotel engineering, high‑rise building operations, or facilities management, preferably in a supervisory role.
