Drupal Developer – Build & Maintain Drupal Sites

About the role
We are looking for a Drupal Developer to design, build and maintain high‑quality Drupal websites and digital experiences for our Corporate Functions technology team. The role combines front‑end UI work, back‑end PHP development and DevOps responsibilities, supporting both new projects and existing platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Drupal 8/9/10 sites, including content types, Views, blocks, taxonomies and menus.
- Create and customize Drupal modules using APIs, hooks, plugins and services.
- Implement responsive, accessible UI components with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Twig and a modern front‑end framework (React preferred).
- Write clean OOP PHP code, manage configuration, routing and entity APIs, and integrate third‑party services.
- Configure and optimise MySQL/MariaDB schemas and queries; handle migrations and content automation.
- Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and deploy to Acquia, Pantheon or AWS, applying caching (Varnish, Redis) and performance tuning.
- Apply Drupal security best practices and conduct unit, integration and functional testing.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX/UI designers and stakeholders, producing technical specifications and documentation.
Required profile
- Proven experience building and customizing Drupal 8/9/10 sites.
- Strong PHP OOP skills and familiarity with Composer.
- Experience with modern front‑end development, preferably React.
- Hands‑on knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and Drupal entity APIs.
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD workflows, Docker and cloud hosting platforms.
