Application Support Specialist - Systems & Database

About the role

The Application Support Specialist will manage day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and maintenance of our IT systems. You will work closely with development and cross‑functional teams to ensure continuous, secure, and high‑performing services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system status, detect and resolve potential issues to maintain stability.
• Inspect hardware, software and network environments for normal operation.
• Respond rapidly to failures, diagnose root causes and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with development teams to address technical problems.
• Oversee system security, perform vulnerability scans and remediate findings.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, recommend and apply optimizations.
• Plan and execute system updates/upgrades with minimal business disruption.
• Create operation manuals, troubleshooting guides and provide training to team members.
• Participate in a 24/7 shift rotation to ensure continuous monitoring and support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in IT system operations and maintenance, preferably in telecom or IT.
• Strong understanding of IT system architecture and components.
• Excellent problem‑solving mindset with a logical, systematic approach.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to join on‑call rotation and provide off‑hours support.
