About the role
The Documentation Lawyer will support the Legal Documentation Division by providing timely legal assistance to business units. This includes drafting, reviewing and updating contracts and other legal documents related to banking transactions, as well as offering legal opinions and training.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, prepare and review contracts for term loans, loan restructurings, collateral, IT agreements, treasury products and other bank transactions.
- Create customized legal documents for specific bank transactions upon request.
- Update the bank’s standard forms to ensure compliance with applicable laws, including AML and terrorist financing regulations.
- Provide legal opinions on documentation and credit‑related queries.
- Report to the Legal Documentation Division Head and Legal Affairs Group Head, and liaise with the Deputy Compliance Officer on potential AML issues.
- Attend client meetings, contract negotiations and loan documentation sessions to support account officers and relationship managers.
- Conduct lectures for business units on legal documentation review.
Required profile
- Licensed lawyer.
- Minimum three years of experience in corporate and commercial law practice.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, banking operations and corporate law.
