Disputes Resolution Lawyer

About the role

The Disputes Resolution Lawyer will lead litigation and legal dispute management for a company operating in the telecommunications sector. This role combines courtroom representation, regulatory advocacy, and internal legal counsel to protect the organization’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company at hearings before the National Telecommunications Commission, National Labor Relations Commission, trial courts, Court of Appeals, and other quasi‑judicial bodies.
• Attend public and committee hearings before local government councils, the House of Representatives, and the Senate.
• Draft pleadings, position papers, and legal memoranda for pending cases and proposed legislation.
• Prepare and supervise filings with the Intellectual Property Office for trademarks, patents, and other IP matters.
• Coordinate with external counsel on assigned cases and provide legal opinions to internal stakeholders.
• Review and negotiate contracts related to identified projects and organizational groups.
• Exercise managerial authority to implement policies and manage personnel actions as required.

Required profile

• Admitted member of the Philippine Bar in good standing.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of proven litigation and dispute management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine laws, regulations, and jurisprudence.
• Familiarity with the telecommunications industry and its regulatory environment is an advantage.

• Ability to research, draft, and argue legal positions before courts and regulatory bodies.
• Understanding of intellectual property filing processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the telecom sector.
