Director of Sports and Recreation

About the role

The Director of Sports and Recreation will lead all sports, spa and recreational services at Shangri‑La The Fort, Manila. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that guest experiences meet the brand’s high standards while driving strategic and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct Kerry Sports, Spa and other recreational operations across the complex.
• Ensure all guest requests and services are delivered in line with established quality standards.
• Plan, organize, direct and control all sports and recreation activities, aligning them with departmental goals.
• Manage budgets, staffing and performance metrics for the sports and recreation department.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to integrate leisure offerings with overall guest experience.

Required profile

• College graduate with a fitness certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar senior role within an international hotel.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Creative, detail‑oriented, outgoing and people‑focused.
• Self‑starter, motivator and strong team‑builder with professional integrity.
