Director of Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Director of Manufacturing Operations leads the entire manufacturing function, ensuring product volume, quality, timeliness and safety while achieving financial targets. This senior role integrates production activities, drives continuous improvement, and partners with cross‑functional teams to meet strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate production activities to ensure smooth workflow and meet output targets.
• Monitor quality, material consumption, yields and traceability across all manufacturing areas.
• Manage man‑hour efficiency based on established work standards.
• Collaborate with PPIC to meet STOs and ensure KPI compliance.
• Assist the Commissary Head in strategic planning and capability development.
• Lead Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) initiatives to achieve production goals.
• Track departmental performance against operational and financial targets.
• Recommend and implement CAPEX projects that boost productivity and capacity.
• Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and enforce the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Champion HACCP/FSSC certifications and Lean Manufacturing improvements.
• Oversee equipment, utilities and facility maintenance for maximum utilization.
• Manage production‑related projects, including new product introductions and equipment installations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Track record of meeting financial and operational targets.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, KPI monitoring and CAPEX project management.
• Experience with TPM, HACCP/FSSC, Lean Manufacturing and RCCP methodologies.
• Ability to coach, develop and evaluate direct reports and third‑party service providers.
