Director of Facilities Operations (APJ)

About the role

As Director, Facilities Operations you will shape and execute the workplace and facilities strategy for OpenText across the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region. You will lead a geographically diverse team to create safe, high‑performing, and engaging work environments that support business growth and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional facilities and workplace strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead facilities operations across multiple countries, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality workplace experiences.
• Partner with business leaders on space planning, workplace optimization, and portfolio decisions.
• Own operating and capital budgets, drive financial accountability, forecasting, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Oversee major workplace projects such as office build‑outs, relocations, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Manage vendor performance and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Lead teams through change, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, corporate real estate, or a related field.
• Proven leadership of regional teams within a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget ownership and business case development.
• Experience leading capital projects, workplace transformations, and space planning initiatives.
