Director of Academic Excellence

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior leader to own and scale its evidence‑based academic model. The Director of Academic Excellence will translate learning‑science research into operational systems that enable students to achieve outcomes in just two hours per day.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that turn learning‑science principles into actionable curriculum, motivation, and product guidelines.
• Conduct structured execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and measurable progress across all school sites.
• Integrate quantitative data, qualitative interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments, identifying barriers and recommending high‑impact interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through continuous planning, feedback loops, and milestone tracking.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning publicly, delivering keynotes and engaging with Ministries of Education and other high‑stakes forums.

Required profile

• Proven track record of articulating and delivering an academic vision at scale.
• Hands‑on experience in learning‑science implementation and operationalizing research into practice.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and guide high‑performing academic teams.
• Excellent communication and public‑speaking abilities for external advocacy.
