DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

Umpisa Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to act as a bridge between application development teams and core cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable delivery of products and features.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Engineering Operations during incidents or issues.
• Deploy, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Automate security scanning of code, infrastructure, and applications throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux VMs and container environments.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Integrate infrastructure deployment into CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.

Required profile

• Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Self‑starter who thrives in a self‑organising Scrum team within a scaled‑agile framework.

Required skills

• AWS (Associate or Professional level certifications preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (CKA certification preferred).
• Proficiency in Terraform for production environments.
• Scripting languages for automation.
• Linux system administration and container troubleshooting.
• CI/CD pipeline and GitOps implementation.
• Background in backend service development.
