DevOps Engineer – L1 Operational Support

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide Level 1 operational support for our CI/CD pipelines and deployment environments. You will monitor builds, deployments and automation workflows, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue escalation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor build pipelines, deployment jobs and automation workflows across Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot initial build failures, deployment issues and pipeline alerts, escalating unresolved problems to L2/L3 engineers.
• Watch application and infrastructure logs to detect errors, performance degradations and abnormal behavior.
• Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes, reporting any irregularities.
• Provide basic cloud‑platform monitoring for services running in AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Execute standard DevOps operational procedures, including pipeline validation, environment checks and deployment verification.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and incident records, and keep monitoring alerts up‑to‑date in ITSM tools.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with version‑control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Exposure to Linux command‑line operations.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift‑based support environment, either remotely or onsite.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
