DevOps Engineer – Azure & CI/CD Specialist

About the role

Core Group Company is seeking a self‑directed DevOps Engineer to own its Azure cloud infrastructure, drive build and deployment operations, and provide internal platform support. You will be the primary point of contact for keeping the Azure environment healthy, ensuring CI/CD pipelines run smoothly, and unblocking the development team.

Key responsibilities

• Weekly installation and validation builds across Dev and QA environments; daily audit of pipeline logs and execution of rollback strategies.
• Day‑to‑day monitoring of Azure resources (VMs, ARG tables, Defender alerts), VM resizing, patching, VPN configuration, compliance audits, and coordination with subscription management.
• Maintain and validate automation scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) with robust logging, error handling, and reusable SOPs.
• Support the development team with Cypress test maintenance, package upgrades, Microsoft deprecation tracking, and WordPress/DigitalOcean site access.
• Audit Azure subscription access, implement MFA, and manage alternative email/auth solutions.
• Maintain the Tech Summary PowerBI/Azure dashboard, reconcile Azure records, produce audit‑ready client communications, and document architecture changes.
• Track software license renewals, monitor SSL certificates, and validate subscription reports.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience (VMs, resource management, VPN, Defender, Azure DevOps pipelines) or equivalent AWS/GCP experience with a clear path to Azure proficiency.
• Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines, including build configuration, log auditing, and rollback procedures.
• Expertise in automation scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, with a focus on reliability and documentation.
• Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as OAuth, MFA, RBAC, and access auditing.
• Excellent documentation habits, including SOPs, runbooks, and change logs.
