Design Engineering II

About the role

RTX’s Collins Aerospace division is seeking a Design Engineering II to contribute to the development of interior systems for aerospace applications. The role blends advanced modeling, safety analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑performance components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced modeling and drafting in accordance with company standards under supervision.
• Design and analyze interior system components in partnership with system engineers.
• Conduct system safety analyses, including hazard assessments and fault‑stress evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply‑chain teams to meet cost and weight targets.
• Participate in product validation using various engineering methods.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate, preferably Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a design organization focused on component‑level design and R&D.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD/CATIA V5 or NX (or other complex CAD software).
• Experience in electrical design.
• Ability to perform system safety and hazard assessments.
