Design Engineer – Telecommunications

About the role

MicroSourcing is looking for a Design Engineer to deliver telecom infrastructure designs that meet site specifications for CPS clients. You will lead engineering and design projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess existing and new telecommunications facilities using site information and photographs.
• Create detailed sketches of existing features and proposed solutions for mast, tower, rooftop and field site installations.
• Develop structural design solutions for supporting telecommunications equipment and antennas, applying relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Prepare and distribute design information to drafting personnel and supervise project phases.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines, coordinating with internal teams, clients and third‑party contractors.
• Maintain project tracking systems and ensure timely approvals and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications or structural design engineering.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, internal teams and contractors.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of structural design standards and codes of practice.
• Understanding of telecommunications equipment, antenna mounting and mast/tower structures.
