Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to support large‑scale infrastructure and reclamation projects in Manila. The role works closely with the project lead and manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the project lead/manager in managing project schedules, budgets and quality.
• Help resolve contract‑related matters for project delivery and closure.
• Ensure all work follows approved methodologies and procedures.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and expenditures.
• Attend progress meetings with clients and contractors and provide weekly/monthly updates.
• Document actions and decisions from meetings and prepare presentation materials.
• Provide administrative support and undertake additional project tasks as required.
• Ensure project documentation is complete and adheres to frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on large‑scale infrastructure or reclamation projects.
• Experience in planning and managing civil construction works such as dredging, reclamation, rock works, wharf and jetty construction.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Proactive team player with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to be assigned in Manila on a project‑based basis.
