Design Engineer I

About the role

UCT is seeking a Design Engineer I to develop thermal solutions for heating and temperature‑sensing applications in gas and liquid delivery systems. You will work closely with account managers, operations staff, and manufacturing teams to deliver designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design thermal solutions using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Analyze customer proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility.
• Collaborate with internal account managers and operations to define design requirements.
• Coordinate with the Thermal manufacturing group for fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Participate in design review meetings and follow the NPI process via MS Teams.
• Present designs to sales/operations staff and, when required, to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of design experience in semiconductor capital equipment, heating, or related industries.
• Hands‑on experience with thermal management and electrical design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
