Dental Medical Receptionist – Remote (Dental Practice Experience Required)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, patient‑focused Dental Medical Receptionist to join our fully remote healthcare team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in a US dental practice, handling front‑desk operations, patient communication, scheduling, and insurance verification.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments.
• Handle patient check‑in and check‑out processes.
• Verify patient information and dental insurance eligibility.
• Assist with insurance benefits, copays, deductibles, and patient balances.
• Process payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Coordinate appointment reminders and patient follow‑ups.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate with patients, dentists, hygienists, and other dental staff.
• Support general administrative and front‑desk operations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a receptionist, front‑desk coordinator, or administrative professional in a US dental practice.
• Strong knowledge of dental office workflows, scheduling, and terminology.
• Experience with dental insurance verification.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• HIPAA knowledge or certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or Curve Dental.
