Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data storage solutions and pipelines on Azure and Databricks. The role involves transforming, cleansing and preparing data for analytics while ensuring platform stability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement database objects, data structures and ingestion pipelines.
• Develop data transformation, cleansing and preparation processes using SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Optimize jobs through code enhancements, configuration changes or new tooling.
• Perform unit and system integration testing, and maintain platform performance.
• Apply updates, patches and other operational activities to keep the environment secure.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security policies and SDLC standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify data needs and improvement opportunities.
• Document data engineering and analytics processes and conduct proof‑of‑concepts for new solutions.
• Contribute to best‑practice guidelines for the data engineering team.

Required profile

• At least one end‑to‑end data project experience.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts and query optimisation.
• Ability to work onsite in the Philippines (preferably local resource).
