About the role
As a Customer Relation Officer (Easy Buying) you will be the friendly face that ensures every IKEA visitor enjoys a smooth and joyful shopping experience. Working part‑time on the shop floor, you will assist customers with product questions, assembly issues and any other concerns that arise during their visit.
Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous assistance to customers, creating a memorable shopping experience.
- Resolve product‑assembly difficulties and exchange component parts when needed.
- Develop thorough knowledge of IKEA items to answer enquiries quickly and accurately.
- Escalate complex issues to the Customer Relations Team Leader with all relevant information.
- Maintain a safe and secure store environment for visitors and colleagues.
- Apply IKEA’s global concepts, tools and manuals to optimise the customer journey.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a customer‑service role within a fast‑paced retail setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build rapport with shoppers.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a clear focus on delivering excellent service.
- Calm under pressure, able to provide solutions in stressful situations.
- Ability to handle stress and work in a very fast‑moving environment.
- Basic computer literacy.
