Culinary Instructor

About the role

The United Marine Training Center (UMTC) in Manila is looking for a dedicated Culinary Instructor to join its maritime education team. You will deliver and assess culinary courses, ensure food safety standards, and support the development of future seafarers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver culinary courses and assessments under supervision, including attendance verification and identity checks.
• Prepare and administer assessment materials, submit grades and evaluation reports on time.
• Supervise and enforce ServSafe, GHP, and HACCP practices in training and operational areas.
• Oversee internal and external audits, accreditation activities, and staff training programs.
• Manage weekend operations as Person‑In‑Charge and create a monthly healthy menu cycle.
• Ensure high‑quality food service delivery and timely completion of HACCP documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in culinary instruction or training environments.
• Familiarity with ServSafe, Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards.
• Ability to supervise course delivery, conduct assessments, and support staff development.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation, reporting, and audit preparation.
