Credit Controller I (French Speaking)

About the role

The Credit Controller I is responsible for researching complex customer accounts and billing histories across multiple systems, resolving disputes, and securing payments. This bilingual role (English and French) manages a daily portfolio end‑to‑end, negotiating fair compromises while preserving long‑term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct extensive research and analysis of account history (usage, payment, subscriptions, contracts) using SAP, Salesforce, Billtrust and HighRadius.
• Contact customers via phone, email and letters to secure payment and resolve billing disputes in a fair and equitable manner.
• Provide professional service that maintains ongoing relationships with each customer.
• Analyze complicated, multi‑faceted account issues such as billing disputes and unresolved installations.
• Exercise independent judgment in researching disputed balances and negotiating compromises.
• Manage an individual daily portfolio with no backlogs and minimal credit or cancellation adjustments.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
• Strong knowledge of Thomson Reuters products, services and customers.
• Ability to handle professional client bases and complex issues with limited supervision.
• Strong negotiation skills and good judgment in high‑pressure environments.
• College graduate.
