Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to work closely with business teams and vendors, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services at the best value to support and improve operations. The role involves strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Apply strategic sourcing best practices to identify and select suppliers.
• Lead vendor negotiations, evaluate commercial proposals and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Conduct procurement audits to verify policy compliance, accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure adherence to procure‑to‑pay policies and processes during vendor selection.
• Identify and drive cost‑saving opportunities across the organization.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery and qualification requirements.
• Draft and edit commercial documents such as RFPs, RFQs, costing templates and terms & conditions.
• Facilitate supplier performance reviews and monitor supplier performance.
• Perform cost analysis, benchmark market prices and track price trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma or professional degree, preferably in Engineering, Business/Management, Finance or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement or sourcing experience.
• Highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
