COX Equipment Engineer – Test

About the role

The COX Equipment Engineer – Test will own and support test, visual inspection, and packaging equipment in a cleanroom environment. You will ensure equipment reliability, optimize performance, and support new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Own, install, qualify, and release test and packaging equipment into production.
• Develop and execute equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and capability studies.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues that affect product performance, yield, and reliability.
• Drive equipment downtime reduction to maintain OEE at or above industry standards.
• Optimize equipment parameters for accuracy, throughput, and repeatability.
• Support NPI and product transfers, ensuring equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Process, Product, and Quality Engineering on root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work with vendors on installation, upgrades, calibration, and technical issues.
• Maintain compliance with safety, ESD, contamination control, and cleanroom requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and support audits, customer visits, and technical reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in equipment or test engineering.
• Strong understanding of automation systems, PLCs, sensors, and motion control.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with laser test equipment (optical power meters, spectrum analyzers, source meters).
• Experience with microscopes, Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), and vacuum sealing equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency in ESD control, contamination control, and cleanroom operations.
