COX Assembly Technician

About the role

The COX Assembly Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing semiconductor equipment, ensuring documentation is up‑to‑date and supporting production efficiency. You will work closely with the equipment team to meet departmental goals and uphold compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs on assigned equipment and maintain work instructions, maintenance plans, checksheets, and calibration records.
• Provide technical support to sustain efficient operations, monitoring machine availability, preventive maintenance, calibration hit rate, SPC, productivity, yield and quality.
• Initiate equipment improvements, modifications and cost‑saving projects using data‑driven analysis.
• Attend weekly engineering and monthly communication meetings to present updates or cover for the superior when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics or fiber‑optics industry.
• Strong understanding of target processes and equipment.

Required skills

• Experience with Die Attach (ESEC Micron, Infotech) and Wirebonding (Delvotek G5, KNS).
• Familiarity with Temperature Cycling Chamber, Shear Testing (Dage) and Profile Interferometer.
• Proficiency in C# scripting or equivalent programming language.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including reading diagrams.
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive equipment maintenance skills (repair, calibration, PM, training).
