Country Medical Director – Access, Medical Affairs & LTO

About the role

The Country Medical Director – Access, Medical Affairs & LTO leads Roche’s medical strategy in the Philippines, ensuring scientific integrity while integrating market access, health policy and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior leader drives unified initiatives that accelerate patient access to innovative therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated market‑access strategies across the Philippine healthcare system.
• Shape health‑policy discussions and promote value‑based care models.
• Forge strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry bodies and patient groups.
• Generate local evidence and value dossiers to demonstrate medical and economic impact.
• Provide scientific leadership, overseeing clinical trial activities and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Lead peer‑to‑peer scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and societies.
• Integrate safety, regulatory and quality functions to protect Roche’s license to operate.
• Maintain medical independence as the local delegate for the Pharma Chief Medical Officer.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance (GVP), good clinical practice (GCP) and local ethical standards.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MD) with a current, valid license to practice in the Philippines.
• Extensive experience in medical affairs, market access or health‑policy leadership.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
