Cost Engineering Specialist

About the role

The Cost Engineering Specialist will support Aboitiz Renewables in delivering financially viable renewable energy projects. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, monitor project schedules, and contribute to cost‑efficient solutions across various development stages.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models for renewable energy projects.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, calculate estimated quantities, and support PRE/PDE activities.
• Track price trends for renewable‑energy equipment and materials.
• Conduct time studies to understand construction sequences, methods, and site conditions.
• Research market data on materials, labor, and equipment to ensure reliable cost inputs.
• Analyze variances and identify key cost drivers through look‑back exercises.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline; licensed engineer preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as a quantity surveyor or civil/electrical engineer in construction or energy.
• Minimum 1 year of project management experience.
