Cost Control Accountant

About the role

The Cost Control Accountant will manage and analyse cost data to support financial reporting and cost management within a hospitality environment. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, compliance with food safety standards, and adherence to budgeted food & beverage costs.

Key responsibilities

• Process, maintain, and analyse cost data for financial reporting.
• Verify daily receipt of goods and issuance of inventory, posting to supply chain management (SCM) system.
• Ensure food safety compliance at receiving and storeroom.
• Monitor daily F&B cost against budget and conduct surprise spot checks at all outlets.
• Check that all menu items have documented recipes.
• Identify and control wastage and pilferage in food & beverage outlets.
• Conduct inventory counts in stores, kitchen production, and bar outlets, reconciling with SCM and Sun accounting system.
• Study weaknesses in F&B controls and propose improvements.
• Generate ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis for management decisions.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in cost control or similar accounting role, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in a five‑star hotel environment is preferred.
