Cost Accountant Officer

About the role
The Cost Accountant Officer will lead cost‑management activities for a manufacturing operation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing data‑driven insights for operational decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Review and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying root causes.
- Prepare regular cost reports to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure proper cost allocation across all departments.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and accounting teams to validate cost data.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and cost of goods sold calculations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
- 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in audit or marketing accounting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Supervisory and leadership capabilities.
