Corporate & Dispute Resolution Associate (Hybrid, Manila)

About the role

Sabornay Law is seeking a full‑time Associate to join its corporate and dispute resolution teams. Working in a hybrid arrangement based in Makati, you will support both local and cross‑border matters for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts, corporate documents, and regulatory filings.
• Assist with foreign direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, and employment‑related matters.
• Conduct legal research, prepare opinions, memoranda, and other written submissions.
• Support litigation and arbitration by drafting pleadings, motions, and other court documents, and attend hearings or conferences as needed.
• Collaborate with local colleagues, foreign counsel, and the Uryu & Itoga network on cross‑border transactions and disputes.
• Engage in client communication, matter management, and occasional business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Active Philippine bar membership with a JD or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing abilities.
• Experience or strong interest in corporate and commercial law, including contracts, regulatory compliance, foreign investments, and M&A.
• Ability to assist in litigation and dispute‑resolution matters.
• Excellent English and Filipino communication skills; Japanese language ability is a plus.
• High professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and solid organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with international teams.
