Consultant – Capital Projects (Underground SMP Construction)

About the role

OceanaGold is looking for an experienced Consultant to lead and mentor Filipino Construction Coordinators on capital‑project construction activities at the Didipio mine. The role ensures safety, compliance with HSE policies, and delivery of projects on scope, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible on‑site presence, completing at least four Critical Control Verifications (CCVs) or Task Observations every five days.
• Provide leadership, coaching and clear direction to the construction team and coordinate with the Manager – Capital Projects on resource needs.
• Oversee construction work for projects such as ventilation, de‑watering pump stations, borefield pump systems, water storage, capital pump station remediation, open‑pit pumping upgrades, and underground infrastructure.
• Monitor progress against design specifications, schedule and budget, and report status to the Superintendent – Construction.
• Assist in developing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all testing and commissioning documentation is complete and properly issued.

Required profile

• Suitable qualifications and proven experience in capital‑project construction, preferably in mining.
• Reliable, safety‑focused professional able to mentor and develop construction coordinators.
• Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
