Construction Engineer – Supervisor (Retail Projects)

About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Construction Engineer – Supervisor to lead retail construction, fit‑out and renovation projects from planning through handover. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet our quality, safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities for retail store projects, renovations and fit‑outs.
• Monitor schedules, manpower, materials and subcontractor performance to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with design, operations, procurement and facilities teams.
• Review construction drawings, technical plans and specifications before implementation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards and company guidelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections and provide progress updates to management.
• Resolve on‑site technical issues, delays and operational challenges.
• Track project costs, assist in budget control and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Oversee quality workmanship, punch‑listing and final acceptance processes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, permits and contractor records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of construction experience, preferably in retail, commercial or fit‑out projects.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, fit‑out standards and multi‑site coordination.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
