Competitive Intelligence Analyst – Market Research

About the role

We are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join the ALF Competitive Intelligence program. The analyst will support the growth and operationalisation of market, customer and competitive intelligence across Elsevier’s academic solutions portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct competitive and market research across academic solutions, monitoring competitor activities, product launches, acquisitions and partnerships.
• Analyse win/loss data from Salesforce and other internal sources and conduct customer win/loss interviews.
• Gather qualitative feedback from sales, customer success, marketing and product teams.
• Develop competitive intelligence briefs, battlecards, executive summaries and strategic recommendations.
• Maintain structured repositories of intelligence assets and track emerging market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research, market research or competitive intelligence.
• Experience supporting B2B SaaS or technology organisations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and written communication skills in English.
