Communications Specialist

About the role

The Communications Specialist will support and coordinate content templating and distribution to boost employee engagement and promote AECOM’s brand across internal and external channels.

Key responsibilities

• Template, format and distribute internal communications in line with corporate brand guidelines.
• Template, format and distribute client and external communications following brand standards.
• Monitor and report on engagement metrics for both internal and external communications.
• Support website page development and upload content for campaigns and news announcements.
• Coordinate monthly Spotlight Award submissions, edit content, obtain approvals and format for distribution.
• Gather content from business leads for monthly Team Talks briefing packs.
• Maintain internal and external calendars, project trackers and award submissions.
• Track marketing campaign impact using performance dashboards and analytics.
• Monitor inbound emails in the Communications ANZ inbox and escalate issues to the Team Lead.
• Perform tasks in compliance with service‑level agreements, policies and procedures, and assist with simple process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
• Minimum three years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a global organization.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and excellent proofreading skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to maintain good customer relationships.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues following defined procedures.
