Communications and Advocacy Officer – Climate Resilience Project

About the role

Plan International Philippines is seeking a Communications and Advocacy Officer to lead the communications strategy for the Climate Resilience Measurement for Communities (CRMC) project, supporting climate‑adaptation planning in Navotas and Manila.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualisation, planning and execution of the project communications plan.
• Serve as the focal point for social media and digital strategy, managing online channels.
• Develop IEC materials such as brochures, infographics and audio‑visual presentations for both traditional and digital media.
• Support the project team in building the capacity of youth advocates to communicate climate advocacy.
• Maintain Plan International Philippines’ website and social media platforms.
• Develop the Annual Advocacy and Influencing Plan and provide technical guidance for advocacy activities.
• Assist with emergency response activities in assigned communities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in development communication, mass communication, public administration or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in communications, including social media, web writing and content production.
• Experience working with local government units (LGUs) and national government agencies (NGAs).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Filipino national based in the Philippines, willing to conduct fieldwork.
