Climate Mobility Expert – Consultant (Roster)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Climate Mobility Expert on a roster basis to support its climate mobility portfolio in the Philippines. The expert will work closely with national and local authorities to integrate migration considerations into climate adaptation planning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training curricula and modules on climate mobility for government and stakeholder audiences.
• Develop research outputs, policy briefs, and technical knowledge products on the climate‑migration nexus.
• Provide technical assistance to mainstream mobility considerations into national and local policies, plans, and financing frameworks.
• Support the implementation of the regional project “Building Knowledge and Capacity on the Migration and Climate Change Nexus in South‑East Asia”.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in climate policy, climate finance, or related technical fields.
• Experience working on the intersection of climate change and human mobility.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and multilateral partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of climate adaptation planning and migration dynamics.
• Ability to develop training materials and technical reports.
• Strong analytical and policy‑coherence skills.
