Civil Inspector

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Inspector to supervise and monitor civil and structural construction activities for transportation infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and stations. You will ensure that all works comply with contract specifications, design standards, and local regulatory requirements while supporting safe and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil/structural construction activities related to transportation infrastructure.
• Oversee implementation of scope of works for earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, and pavement systems.
• Track construction progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, local authorities, and utility providers.
• Conduct quality inspections of materials and workmanship, issue Non‑Conformance Reports as needed.
• Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports covering status, safety, quality metrics, and site observations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience as a Civil Inspector in the Power Plant sector.
• Registered Civil Engineer with a valid PRC license.
• Experience inspecting Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and civil/structural codes.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site.
