Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will shape and execute the organisation’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring protection of systems, applications, infrastructure and sensitive data against evolving threats. This senior leader will drive governance, risk management and operational security across a large‑scale enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead a long‑term cybersecurity roadmap, set risk‑reduction goals and establish performance metrics for executive leadership.
• Build, mentor and manage high‑performing security teams while fostering collaboration with business and technology leaders.
• Establish governance frameworks, standards and controls aligned with industry regulations and data‑protection requirements.
• Oversee security operations, incident response, detection, monitoring and continuous improvement of security processes.
• Develop and enforce cloud security strategies, including containerised environments, automation and continuous monitoring.
• Monitor emerging threats and trends to proactively enhance the organisation’s security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security within enterprise environments.
• At least 7 years of leadership experience managing security teams and programmes.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST and ISO 27001.
