Business Unit Controller – AAP

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Business Unit Controller for its AAP segment to develop and execute the in‑country finance strategy, maximise shareholder value and support the Business Area’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Leaders and the Business Area Controller to provide forward‑looking financial advice and challenge.
• Develop, coordinate and monitor the BU budget, forecasts and financial plans, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Analyse project P&L, working capital and cash‑flow performance, delivering transparent KPI reporting.
• Identify and implement finance transformation opportunities, including standardisation, automation and use of the Global Shared Service Centre.
• Support bid and sale processes, driving profitable growth and change initiatives.
• Collaborate with other BU Controllers and the In‑Country Accounting lead to maintain consistent service delivery and statutory compliance.
• Roll out centrally designed finance processes, ensuring alignment with other GBAs and GSSC finance teams (AP, AR, Accounting, Project Accounting).

Required profile

• Strong finance or accounting background with experience in controlling or business unit finance.
• Proven ability to act as a business partner, providing insightful analysis and driving action.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting and working‑capital management.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to lead finance functions, coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure compliance.
