Business Support Assistant – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Business Support Assistant will support Air France freight operations within DSV's global logistics network. You will act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth processing of shipping orders across the APAC and ME regions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track shipping orders daily using the Carla system and DHL+ applications.
• Update order statuses, milestones, and reason codes, and reconcile data for order management.
• Coordinate activities between Schenker, DHL, vendors, repair shops, and suppliers, providing first‑line escalation and investigation support.
• Manage parcel services, create and edit shipment labels, and handle drop‑shipments for AFI vendors.
• Perform claims management, reporting, and performance analysis using DHL KAD.
• Process air invoicing, verify DHL invoices against agreed rates, and handle dispute management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any business field.
• Background in freight forwarding; knowledge of air operations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and effective communication in English.
• Experience working in a shared services environment within logistics.
• Comfortable interacting with foreign counterparts and contributing to process improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with TMS platforms.
• Experience using Carla system.
• Familiarity with DHL+ and DHL KAD applications.
