Business Performance Senior Analyst

About the role

The Business Performance Senior Analyst supports Manulife's business operations by delivering accurate, timely and insightful management information. The role provides reporting and analytical support to key business functions, focusing on sales production reporting, manpower reporting and MIS reporting, and helps generate insights that support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the processes that ensure timely and accurate processing and delivery of MCBL and CBC reports according to agreed SLAs.
• Create, generate and implement new or enhanced reports requested by management.
• Process data accurately, including computing simple non-system-based compensation and incentives.
• Initiate work process improvements, prepare work process documentation and undertake special projects supporting operations and system enhancements.
• Update contests, promotions and conferences periodically, manage data simulations to keep them within budget, and develop visual dashboard reports with charts, graphs and diagrams.
• Review reporting processes regularly to align with strategic objectives and KPIs, and contribute to distribution projects and programs.
• Collaborate closely with MCBL Distribution and other business units.

Required profile

• Excellent technical and programming skills, with knowledge of financial spreadsheet preparation, trend analysis, data simulation and report commentary writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills, able to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Preferred: degree in B.S. Computer Science, Business Management, Economics, Math, Accounting or another financial course.
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently and deliver within agreed SLAs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Data simulation and trend analysis
