Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

Manulife is hiring a Business Intelligence Developer in Quezon City to work closely with business and technical teams. You will design, develop, test and deploy custom apps using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) and integrate them with Microsoft services such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Teams and Power BI, using Power Automate and connectors.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with users, product owners and data engineers to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including applications, dashboards and interactive reporting tools.
• Build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint or other databases as the backend.
• Build custom connectors and use Dataverse (CDS) for data modelling and management.
• Translate business data needs into technical requirements through data visualization.
• Develop, test and maintain BI dashboards to a high standard of quality and performance using approved tools such as Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense or Tableau.
• Apply UI/UX best practices so visualizations present a single, aligned version of truth and clear calls to action.
• Train junior team members and help set up and implement best practices for solution quality and consistency.
• Provide and maintain user access, report connections and troubleshoot issues via management consoles or workspaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field with a focus on Business Intelligence.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience developing BI solutions, preferably with Power BI, QlikView or QlikSense.
• Willingness to work onsite and from home depending on business needs, and to follow a mid-shift or night-shift schedule.
• Ability to handle medium to high complexity projects and to turn data into actionable insights.

Required skills

• Power Automate cloud flows, desktop flows, business process flows and process advisor.
• BI tools such as QlikView, QlikSense and Power BI.
• Data modelling and data normalisation, and the ETL methodology.
• Relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and SDLC/agile (Scrum) experience is preferred.
