Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager owns the front of cloudlogic’s growth engine, turning inbound interest and outbound targeting into signed brand accounts. The role guides a new account from first contact through discovery, solution design, pitch, proposal, negotiation, contract signing and handoff to the Commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the inbound inquiry queue, qualify leads and maintain pipeline in the CRM.
• Build outbound pipeline by identifying and prioritising target brands.
• Conduct structured discovery and craft tailored marketplace solutions.
• Develop and deliver sales pitches with creative, marketing and data support.
• Manage RFP responses, produce proposals and scope commercial terms.
• Lead negotiations, coordinate contracts and drive deals to closed‑won.
• Prepare handoff documentation and ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
• Track market intelligence, maintain CRM hygiene and improve sales tools.

Required profile

• 4+ years of B2B business development or sales experience in e‑commerce enablement, digital agency, marketplace, FMCG/retail or SaaS sold to brands.
• Proven record of closing new logos and owning the full sales cycle including RFPs and contracts.
• Fluent in marketplace mechanics such as Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop and the enabler value chain.
• Strong commercial and numerical literacy to scope pricing and model uplift.
• Executive presence with ability to engage senior brand leadership.
• Excellent written communication for proposals, RFPs and disciplined CRM usage.
