Business Development Associate

About the role

The Business Development Associate will support the Business Development and proposal services for SMEC Philippines under the guidance of the Business Development Manager. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, coordinating with clients, and assisting in proposal preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Business Development Officer in scouting new business opportunities on platforms such as PhilGEPS, DPWH, and NEDA.
• Coordinate with potential clients to communicate SMEC’s services and capabilities.
• Respond promptly to client queries and feedback related to services rendered.
• Help prepare business proposals, EOIs, and marketing collateral for existing and prospective clients.
• Support the development of strategies to enhance client satisfaction and drive business growth.
• Contribute to marketing activities, maintain a databank of consultant CVs, presentations, and brochures.
• Participate in forums, seminars, conferences, and client gatherings to promote SMEC’s business.
• Maintain and utilize a client relationship management database for mailing lists and customer management.

Required profile

• Graduate in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant Business Development experience.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a results‑driven environment.
