Bulk and Raw Materials Scaler

About the role

The Bulk and Raw Materials Scaler ensures safe and efficient operation of the quarry truck scale and related systems, guaranteeing accurate weighing of bulk and raw materials in line with quality standards and operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the truck scale to maintain optimum unit operating cost while delivering accurate, timely weigh‑ins for material handling.
• Maintain the accuracy of the scale’s computer system, file records correctly and keep the database up‑to‑date.
• Perform autonomous maintenance: monitor equipment, coordinate repairs, hand over to the next shift and keep the work area tidy.
• Inspect incoming raw materials to verify quality and quantity, ensuring they meet required specifications.
• Complete all required logbooks, checklists and reports to support decision‑making.
• Provide cross‑departmental assistance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Follow ISO certification procedures and participate in annual audits to maintain compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing plant operations.
• Good communication abilities.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to visually identify supplied raw materials.
