BOSC Construction Supervisor

About the role

The BOSC Construction Supervisor is responsible for estimating labor, equipment, subcontractor, ODC and material costs for construction and engineering projects based on RFP data. The role may also involve supervising a small team of junior estimators.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sequencing construction activities and outline labor, material, and equipment components.
• Analyze specifications, sketches, blueprints, and bills of material to calculate production costs using pricing schedules and historical data.
• Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors and vendors.
• Compute estimates for raw materials, subcontracted work and labor, and maintain historical cost data.
• Create and revise cost models and estimates as project scope changes.
• Assist subject matter experts in BOE development and ensure timely, compliant submission of estimates.
• Mentor and train less‑experienced estimators.
• Liaise between estimating and other functional departments to provide accurate data.
• Provide QA/QC support to the estimating process and review manufacturing parts lists.
• Prepare final estimates for domestic and international government proposals and interface with government auditors for price audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of construction or government estimation experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs and procedures across various trades.
• Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks and communicate effectively with all management levels.
