Australian Tax Specialist – Expatriate & International Tax

About the role

Emapta is looking for an Australian Tax Specialist to support complex expatriate and international tax matters for its clients. You will apply deep technical knowledge of Australian tax compliance, transfer pricing, R&D incentives and related reporting to deliver high‑quality advisory and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Australian tax compliance and reporting for expatriate and international assignments.
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Assist clients with R&D tax incentives and indirect tax issues.
• Perform tax calculations, analysis and reconciliations using Excel.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and ensure deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Australian Tax Specialist or in a comparable role.
• Hands‑on exposure to expatriate tax, international tax, R&D tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and consistency in reviewing tax data.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload within a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting; progress toward CPA/CA is preferred.
