Audit Associate

About the role

The Audit Associate will support the audit team in planning, executing, and reporting on audit engagements. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to develop core auditing competencies while working with various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparation of audit engagements by gathering information, understanding processes, and identifying risks.
• Execute audit procedures according to approved programs and methodology.
• Test controls, transactions, processes, and supporting documents to assess compliance and effectiveness.
• Review and analyse audit evidence to identify exceptions, control deficiencies, and potential risks.
• Prepare complete, accurate, and properly referenced audit working papers and documentation.
• Participate in walkthroughs, interviews, and meetings with auditees and process owners.
• Communicate observations and potential findings to the Audit Supervisor or Manager.
• Assist in drafting audit observations, recommendations, and reports.
• Monitor follow‑up procedures on management action plans and audit recommendations.
• Maintain organized audit files and safeguard confidential information.
• Support special audit reviews, investigations, and other assurance activities as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged; up to 1 year of relevant experience in audit, accounting, compliance, or risk management.
• Basic knowledge of internal audit principles, internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures.
• Willingness to undergo continuous training and develop technical audit competencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace/Google Suite.
• Exposure to audit software, data analytics tools, or ERP systems (advantage).
