Associate Legal Counsel

About the role

Provides general legal support with an emphasis on corporate, contracts, and regulatory requirements. The Associate Legal Counsel will ensure that all transactions and agreements are compliant with applicable laws and will help mitigate legal risks for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze legal and policy issues, develop strategies, and provide counsel.
• Ensure all company transactions and agreements comply with legal frameworks.
• Represent the company or its officials in legal proceedings.
• Prepare, review, and administer contracts and business documents.
• Develop and recommend improvements to legal documents, contracts, forms, and instruments.
• Draft and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and orders.
• Negotiate business agreements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable law school and admission to the Philippine Bar.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry with exposure to joint ventures.
